Before the main tournament kicks off, teams will participate in warm-up games to acclimatize to the conditions and prepare themselves. India will play their only warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. India will also play most of their league stage matches at this venue, including the highly anticipated match against Pakistan on June 9.
Pakistan, England, and New Zealand have chosen not to participate in the warm-up matches. Pakistan and England are currently engaged in a T20I series, while New Zealand has opted to give their players a rest before the tournament.
Nepal and debutants Canada will play in the first warm-up game of the multi-nation event. Many players will be joining the tournament after participating in IPL 2024. India will start their campaign with their only warm-up match on Saturday.
These matches will not have T20I status, allowing teams to use all fifteen players in a game.
